Established in 1965… The Chicago FM Club (CFMC) boasts a roster of over 150 members strong, from all over the Chicagoland area and beyond. With a vast array of coverage from our Five area Repeaters, we are much more than a “Repeater Club”. CFMC is proud to host one of Chicagoland’s biggest and best Ham Fests… Radio Expo; Held in September each year, check our Calendar for details. CFMC Members enjoy a comradery both On-Air and IRL. Field Day 2026

Field Day will be held the weekend of June 27th and 28th. Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event.
