Established in 1965… The Chicago FM Club (CFMC) boasts a roster of over 150 members strong, from all over the Chicagoland area and beyond. With a vast array of coverage from our Five area Repeaters, we are much more than a “Repeater Club”. CFMC is proud to host one of Chicagoland’s biggest and best Ham Fests… Radio Expo; Held in September each year, check our Calendar for details. CFMC Members enjoy a comradery both On-Air and IRL. CFMC will be doing a POTA Activation at Pullman National Historic Park (US-7917) on July 25 and 26, in conjunction Pullman Railroad Days. Chicago Marathon, October 11th

The marathon this year is on Sunday, October 11. We draw on the ham community from many states, not just Illinois. Most people work as small radio team with 4 or 5people — and many of those are teams supported by a single club (Thank you Club supporters). Those positions represent about 70% of our volunteers. Other hams work in specialized areas like Pre-finish, or roaming triage or other task related groups. We work as communicators, not as medical volunteers.
