- Analog Mode is top priority at all times. Motorola Users: Please use your radio in Mixed Mode to assure no one is using analog before making your call.
- It is recommended that Users with regular, non-digital Motorola radios set their radios to monitor with PL 114.8 (encode & decode). The reason for this is to make sure the loud annoying buzzing sound hear in analog when someone is using digital is muted on your end. p25 does not use a PL, it’s carrier squelch.
- Analog Users while being in encode/decode, please make sure to observe your S-Meter or Busy Indicator, to make sure there is no ACPO P-25 traffic before making your call. This will make the use of this dual mode system much smoother.
- Since there is no Courtesy Beep, Make sure the system completely drops in-between transmissions.
